Cece Sterbert of Gillette’s Powder River Volleyball Club lunges to keep the ball in play during Sunday’s championship match at the Never Flinch volleyball tournament at Sheridan Junior High School. Eighty-one teams from across the state competed in the tournament, which donates proceeds from the event to the Never Flinch Foundation Scholarship Fund in memory of Weston Johnson. Johnson was a Sheridan High School Football coach who passed away from Melanoma in January 2014. The Never Flinch Foundation awards scholarships to Sheridan High School and Wray (Colorado) High School students. The Sheridan Volleyball Club has hosted five tournaments over the last three years and has given over $4,000 to The Never Flinch Foundation. The SVC is hoping to donate between $2,000 and $4,000 this year to Never Flinch.
