Fourteen-year-old Steen Avery, left, Ryan Mullholand and Wyatt Avery, 17, ride on the trailer as they spread out racks of mortars along the front row during setup for the Independance Day fireworks show Tuesday at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. This year will be the 27th that Sen. Bruce Burns has put on a community fireworks show in Big Horn. Friends and volunteers help every year to choreograph, organize and setup the pyrotechnics – a process which takes up to 4 months. This year’s choreographers are Dave Wang, Dave Avery, Patrick Pearce, Ryan Mullholand and Ed Salvatore for the finale. The fireworks are choreographed to sync with music by computer. Burns said that this year’s show will be a little bit bigger than last year’s. An estimate of 800 shells will be fired for the show, about 350 of those shells are for the finale.
