From left, Luke Singer, 10, Kasey Singer, 6, and Jesse Singer, 9, trek on through the a field of produce during the Youth Garden Harvest Thursday at Sheridan College. The Sheridan College Agriculture Students, Pre-Professional students, contributed the youth garden with collaboration by other community gardeners who opened most of the community garden for the youth garden harvest this year at no cost to the children and their families. Those involved with building the garden credits community gardener Bruce Sprenger as instrumental in the success of the garden through the donation of his time, labor, and seasoned advice. Children from the community have been visiting the garden throughout the summer to check on the progress of the produce and to engage in educational activities provided by the college students.
